Story

The network is waking up. The world is still silent.

Recovery power returns to a sealed facility. Machines breach the security door. Command gives you a clear order: protect the server hub, recover its data orbs, and reconnect the regional defense network.

Each mission carries the operation farther from the awakening chamber. Restore power at a solar farm. Bring a water reclamation plant online. Secure evacuation routes, search deserted medical wards, and recover records from damaged research facilities.

But the rescue stations stand empty. Passenger counts are unavailable. The records do not match the world you expected to find.

Across the 20-mission Human Defense Initiative, defend the infrastructure that still works and uncover the story behind the orders that keep arriving.

Gunmetal Switchyard Gameplay

Gameplay

Build a defense that works in both directions.

The machines are coming for your data. Reaching the hub is only half their journey: each attacker takes an orb and heads back toward the exit. Destroy it before it escapes and the orb begins its return home, where another machine may intercept it.

Deploy towers on defense pads and eligible road tiles. Combine damage, armor reduction, burning effects, and EMP suppression. Start the assault when you are ready, then adapt as later waves arrive automatically and begin to overlap.

Recoverable data orbs

Protect 20 data orbs. Destroy fleeing thieves and defend the route as dropped orbs travel home.

Nine specialized towers

Build Autocannons, EMP Arrays, Howitzers, Missile Batteries, Rotary Barrage towers, and more.

Player-built routes

Fight across fixed lanes, open maze areas, and hybrid maps that let you reshape the battlefield.

27 specializations

Upgrade through three MK levels and unlock three specialization choices for each tower type.

Ten enemy chassis

Counter Runners, Bulwarks, Shieldbearers, Jammers, Carriers, Command Titans, and support units.

20-mission campaign

Defend factories, hospitals, orbital infrastructure, flooded streets, and the defense network core.

Map Maker

Create, save, and playtest battlefields with editable routes, scenery, and enemy waves after the campaign.

Pause and time control

Assess the field while paused, then return to combat at 1×, 2×, or 3× simulation speed.

Persistent progression

Campaign progress, completion results, and specialization choices persist between sessions.
